Symphony No. 12 (The Year of 1917) - Dmitri Shostakovich

One of the least popular of Shostakovich's symphonies in the West, it gives a chronological depiction of events during the Bolshevik Revolution.

The work was written in 1961, and is in the key of D minor. It consists of four movements lasting a total of approximately 35 minutes.
